We're now allowed to grow medicinal strains (UK) but only if we grow en masse and sell to specific suppliers.
Can still get the jail for having a few in the attic but having a football pitch worth is sound as long as you sell to government approved vendors and pay £500 for a liscence. Get about £180 an oz too which is street value for my circle.
How mad is that eh. Actually can't get my head around it.

Do you have regulations you have to follow when you grow large scale? Do you have to batch test for potency and contaminants such as mold, pest residue, pesticides, and heavy metals before selling to government vendors?

Yeah you had to know our guvment would find a way to screw up a good thing like pot. They shouldn't be messing with unlicensed shops, particularly when the legit ones don't come close to meeting demand.

This was never about access for medical and recreational users. It was all about pandering to large investors that made a killing early on when stocks were soaring, and government to tax a new revenue stream. If it was truly about legalizing weed for the masses we wouldn't have the heavy restriction and regulations that we now have, especially when it comes to heavy-handed municipal and provincial laws.
