My DIY Deep Water Culture ( PICS )

Ok, here is my diy deep water culture set up, Sorry the plant isnt marijuana but im still waiting for my dwarf auto to germinate to put along side it, just wanted to post it to see what people think + it may help some1 in the future. Let me no what you think.

45 litre storage box £5.99
120 litre per hour Air Pump £7.99
Air Stone £3
20cm Net pots x 2 £5
Hydroten pebbles 10 litre £5.50
Rockwool x 10 £1
4mm tubing 2 metre £0.70p

Things i had lying around the house -- scissors, bin bags, parcel tape,

Tools -- drill.

first i drilled 2 holes in the lid for my pots to fit into and a side hole just under the lid for the air tube to go through.
I used black bin bags to light proof the box. Inserted the tubing through the hole and attached to the air stone and connected other end to air pump and then filled with water, Cleaned the pebbles and put into pots and into the holes in the lid and switched pump on. And its as simple as that. Here are the pictures, If you think iv missed anything let me no Thanks.

Very similar to one of mine. However, I put in a small PVC valve in the lower corner to help facilitate draining the water for changing.

looking nice tommyb88 only thing i can say you missed is ph test unless you no what the ph is of your tap water

personally, i would go with more bubbles.

not saying yours wont work, but the more bubbles, the better it is!

i would also read up and get familiar with plythium, and root slime. Its something almost every DWC grower will come across at some point. and its a *insert most profane words you can think of here*

if you are using tap water, using something like "zone" or 30% h202, or similar agents like those,every 3 days, typically works great

if you use distilled, or RO water (something without chlorine) bennies work great.
