my ph meter dont work?

i bought two ph meters from home depot. i dont think ether of them work, one is from ferry and morse and the other is from masser lee. 20 bucks each. is it just cuz they suck. what kind should i get. this dont even give a reading

A lot of soil pH testers I have found get corrosion on the end of the probe. No matter how much I tried to keep it clean the Rapitest meter ended up with a pitted head on it and it reads pH very inaccurately.

I think a company called Hannah makes pH testers, and probably soil testers among those.

Did you put a new battery in the ferry morse ?? Mine works fine !!
