The fifth medical marijuana facility in New Jersey opens Thursday in Cranbury.
In a press release, the New Jersey Department of Heath said it issued its final permit on Wednesday, allowing Breakwater Treatment & Wellness, located near exit no. 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike, to operate as an alternative treatment center.
More than 5,500 patients and caregivers registered in the state’s medical marijuana program have been notified that Breakwater is now open. Patients may change their designated medical marijuana provider locations at the program’s website, or by calling its customer service unit at 609-292-0424. Changing provider locations does not require changing ID cards.
According to Breakwater’s acebook page, appointments must be scheduled during the “soft opening” of the facility. Strains available at Breakwater include BB – indica-dominant, CT – high CBD, DP – heirloom sativa and AK – hybrid. Pictures on the Facebook page show the plants have been growing since summer.
Breakwater offers services to those who have established a legitimate patient/physician relationship with a registered medical marijuana physician who has diagnosed a debilitating condition such as multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, a terminal illness or glaucoma.
