After failing to get enough signatures last year, medical marijuana advocates took to the Capitol Friday hoping to try again.

Medical marijuana advocates tell FOX 25 now is the time to act. One by one the advocates came to the Capitol each walking a different path.

The advocates say medical marijuana would help with their anxiety, arthritis, scoliosis and seizures.

Green the Vote's petition in Oklahoma would allow legal cannabis for any medical condition approved by a doctor and allow dispensaries in the state that could also be taxed for education.

After filing the plan, they'll have to wait for it to be approved and then will need around 124,000 signatures in 90 days to get the issue on the 2016 ballot.

A similar plan didn't get enough signatures last year.
