In three days Humboldt County sheriff's deputies and Campaign Against Marijuana Planting agents destroyed more than 7,000 marijuana plants in 52 gardens.
The 7,240 plants were taken from gardens in Island Mountain, Myers Flat, Eel Rock, Honeydew and McCann between Tuesday and Thursday.

Tuesday, deputies served a search warrant on a Myers Flat parcel, finding and seizing 951 pot plants ranging in height from 3 to 4 feet.

Timothy Peter Crew, 45, of San Francisco, was on the property and arrested on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sales. Crew was also discovered to have a warrant out of San Francisco for transportation of methamphetamine.

Crew was booked into the Humboldt County Jail.
