Outdoors on the rainy side

Hoping for some guidance on growing outdoors west of the Cascades in WA State. It's cold, damp, & cloudy here. I'm thinking about a greenhouse but wondering if that just encourages molds?

We've tried growing tomatoes several times. Some summers have been epic fails. The fruit is still a few weeks from turning red, then the sun goes away.

I think we'd prefer sativas rather than indicas in case anyone has specific strains to recommend.

I have very humid climate and since October it gets hard for any non resistant plant to thrive, so try either indicas that finish by first week of September or strong as steel sativas such as Bangi Haze.
