I have a digital pH meter with single point calibration and I don't have buffer
solution to calibrate it I tried distilled water but if i put the water in a jar the pH changes after it sits half a day or so in a closed jar [pint mason] and even when i rinse the meter in tap water after checking nutes i get a different reading for the distilled i checked 5 minutes ago. is there a way to make a stable 7 pH buffer solution from common stuff around the house ie bleach
:adore:soap baking powder/soda vinegar windex sugar yeast salt etc ?

dude, spend like 15 bux get a COMPLETE PH testing kit and use it! the kit comes with a PH UP bottle and a PH DOWN bottle to adjust the level as needed

the meter was bad got a new one working consistantly did calibration against distilled water and tap water got report from city water authority
numbers match specs...
