Potting Question...

Its feasible but a 1 gallon milk jug is still a 1 gallon pot. Actually a little less since you'll have to cut the top off. Make it light proof and put adequate drainage holes in the bottom. Also square is better then round in the sense that you can fit more dirt into a square which sides are the same length as a the diameter of a round pot.

10 inch square pot holds more soil than 10 inch diameter round pot. If your grow area is tight then square allows you to use more of that space.
 
Completely round containers produce better root systems. Best to work with these. Bron
Actually square containers make a better container. they fit more uniformly in 99% of most grow spaces and they don't promote circling of the roots like round containers do. Round containers become root bound faster than square ones do.
