Question about ts600 light with top ballast

Hello all, I am looking at a mars hydro ts 600 grow light that a gals got locally for sale and the ad says it’s brand new in the box but it has the ballast mounted on top of the light. All the ones I am seeing on Amazon etc have the ballast mounted inside the light? Any ideas? Is this an older version? Thanks all.

Hmm dunno figured most have driver mounted on top but might help to ask over at the Mars Hydro sponsor page… makes one wonder if its a newer full spectrum or older blurple?

Yes actually after talking to the person that had it for sale she had a ts1000 which I ended up buying
