Question about watering in hydroponics

I have a super closet and just finished my 1st harvest with slot of rookie mistakes that won't happen again. My question is: I have a 3gal reservoir in the flower chamber....when my water runs out so I add the same nutrients every water fill or like a once a month thing? I wasn't sure and added it almost daily with nuts from the start to end. I'm I wasting nutrients?

( I wasn't sure and added it almost daily with nutes from the start to end. I'm I wasting nutrients?) Not if you have the right amount of nutes in the water.

Most of us that run hydro have ppm meters that tell us about how much nutes we have in the water so we can adjust them if needed.

Most of us adjust the ppm upward as the grow progresses.

Watching the ppm and ph are important in hydro.

It has a lot to do with the plant and nutes.

I start out about 350ppm and end veg at about 550-600 and then by the end of flower I am at about 1000-1200

With the set up I have I like to run on the lower side of things. Some people would be up 2000 at the end of their grow.

You need to dial in what is best for your plant and setup.
