umm...if you are asking how many you have to turn off so your power consumption wont change much then its 4... 4x 100=400

Akaman, watts are watts. Are you running the space heater 12 hours a day? watts x hours /1000 = kilowatt hours, usually how power is billed. So 1000 watts for an hour = 1 kilowatt hour.
 
the answer is 4, that is if they are on for the same period of time, and they are actually drawiwing 100w each.

thx FreakNature for the info. in the winter i was running the heater 24 hrs a day. my house is all electric so you see my concerns.i gotta find out what the electric co. is charging per kilowatt then. i'll figure it out, thx for the starting point.:smokin:
