When you think of places where crooks set up marijuana grow operations, a tiny hamlet in northwest Saskatchewan isn't normally what comes to mind.

But RCMP say they seized 26 marijuana plants Wednesday from a home in Waseca.

Mounties made two arrests. Brian Nelson, 47, and William Fritz, 63, face numerous charges, including production and possession of a controlled substance.

Waseca is situated on Highway 16 west of Maidstone. According to the 2006 census, it has a population of under 150.
