Red frequency or blue frequency CFL's for auto's?

Which frequency lighting for auto-flowering plants red or blue using CFL bulbs?

I use blue shift ordinarily with my veg stage non auto's then swap over to red shift for budding.
However, I have thrown in a few auto's in my cabinet which start to bud pretty damn quickly.

Do autos prefer blue or red frequency lighting or maybe a mix?

Autos have a short veg, I've always used my HPS for them but I think guys will use both . But I would say red happy growing

You want CFLs from the red spectrum that is the light that produces flowering and budding. Im currently growing under red spectrum (2700 K) CFL lights and theyre looking great. But I would recomend putting one blue spectrum light in for every 3 red lights, otherwise you will end up with really tall plants and thats not ideal for indoor growth.

Good info Stash I only have a small cabinet with a dual bulb holder reflector. I started my autos with dual blue spectrum 300w bulbs the minute i saw first signs of budding (after bout 3 weeks) changed over to red spectrum. Plants looking healthy n fine
