Roots growing into water reservoir

Hey guys

I'm using this GH waterfarm right here:

My issue is that my plant's roots start growing into the water tank below. Now I'm not sure if that can become a problem in the future. I've had an issue before with the plant getting much bigger than expected and I thought maybe the roots having an unlimited amount of space to grow could be the source of that.

So my questions are: Could the reason for my plants getting too big be the roots growing into the reservoir?

Could more issues arise out of the roots growing into the water tank?

If so, how do I stop the roots from growing into the water tank?

My experience is that you can trim the excess roots. The plant will survive just fine. The only reason that could be annoying is if that if the roots clogs all the draining holes. Aside from it, there's nothing wrong at all.

The roots are supposed to grow into the bottom chamber.
