South Dakota will apparently be taking another attempt at approving medical marijuana in the state.

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has provided the wording for an initiated measure that has been filed with the Secretary of State.

This statement will appear on petitions that will be circulated.

A total of 13,871 signatures are needed by Nov. 8 of this year to place it on the November 2016 general election ballot.

The measure failed in 2010 by a 63 percent to 36 percent margin.
