In 2008, cannabis cultivation pro Ghost of ABF Genetics got his hands on GSC and gave away four cuts.
He is quoted as saying: “It was like curled up in a Ziploc baggie, this little, abused piece of flower,” He says. “...I remember grinding it up and smoking it and thinking, ‘Wow, it’s a super unique, tasty flower.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I gotta track down the cut.’”
That simple act is what started the spread of Girl Scout Cookies not just around California, but around the globe.
Officially, the Cookies Fam has been breeding out of this world cannabis genetics since 2010.
Entrepreneur, marketing extraordinaire and rapper Berner (Gilbert Milam Jr.) hails from The Golden City and is the reason why Girl Scout Cookies is a household name.
From Animal Cookies (created by the Cookies Family) to Zkittles/Cookies, everyone slapped the name Cookies on their own take of this cult-classic.
The founders at Cookies Fam call these variations “fortune cookies”.
