The Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act of 2008 - 17th April 2008,

The Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act of 2008," introduced by Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass.), would eliminate the threat of arrest and prison for the possession of up to 3.5 ounces of marijuana and/or the not-for-profit transfer of up to one ounce of marijuana. It would not affect federal laws prohibiting selling marijuana for profit, importing and exporting marijuana, or cultivating marijuana. It also would not affect any state or local laws and regulations.

That's right folks! That was a paragraph that I copied and pasted from an email alert from Marijuana Policy Project just today! That means FEDERAL decriminalization of marijuana could very possibly become a reality!
YOU can help too! Just go to mpp.org and look around for the Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act of 2008 and you can send a pre-written email to your representative, telling him you wish for him to support this bill...you can add or delete whatever you like or write the whole thing yourself, all new...its up to you, but they already have emails written and you just have to add your name and info and click send....its that easy! Also, while you're there...you can look into your local stuff and look into "take action" and there are numerous emails that are prewritten for you to send to all of your congressmen/women and/or representatives, etc... about all sorts of legislature, etc... concerning marijuana, please take a look at this as well and take a few minutes to send out these emails, it could really help make a difference if everyone gets in there and starts sending emails. Even if you don't smoke, its time to stop the lies, stop the madness and stop incarcerating innocent people. Over 800,000 people were arrested for marijuana in 2006! That's one every 38 seconds! That's an enormous waste of police resources, not to mention tax payer's money.....to prosecute people for a plant that has been proven to be less toxic than aspirin? Its ridiculous and prohibition laws strike a blow to the very foundation of the ideas that built this country and its time to end it once and for all....no one should be able to tell you what you can and can't do with or put into your body, period. If these laws are in place to protect us....protect us from what? The penalties for getting caught far outweigh the risks involved in using it, so who are they protecting and from what?

Please check out mpp.org and play a small part in doing something big today. Also, if you haven't yet read Jack Herer's book: "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" Read It! It is, seriously (IMHO), one of the most important books ever written and it could truly be the key to saving our planet....if we could only get the information to sink in through the thick skulls of those who make our laws....
Do yourself a favor and buy a copy today and buy one for someone else too....do what I do, when you give a copy to someone, let them know how important it is first off and tell them to read it cover to cover and understand it....look up the facts, if you don't believe it because there will be some unbelievable things that you will read, but its ALL true and verifiable (unlike the info from government studies).....after reading it in its entirety and having a real grasp on it....either pass it on to another, or buy it for another and tell them to do the exact same thing....this way it continues to spread and the more who are privy to the knowledge contained within the pages of that book, the better the chance we have of getting marijuana legalized, getting industrial hemp legalized and saving our planet, environment and our very bodies from destruction and poisons.

Thank you for your time all!

Tom
