The Third National Clinical Conference on Cannabis Therapeutics

420

Founder
This is the third national conference in a bi-annual series of programs designed to resurrect the knowledge base of therapeutic cannabis in public, accredited venues that are directed to health care clinicians. No academic medical education concerning therapeutic cannabis has been provided to physicians or other health care professionals in the United States since 1938 "until this series began in the spring of 2000".

The program faculty includes experts from the U.S., Canada, Israel, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Research on cannabis and cannabis-based products has exploded in the last decade following the discoveries of endogenous cannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors. This conference brings replicated, science based research to clinicians, patients, legislators, the press and the public upon which individuals can make informed decisions about therapeutic cannabis use. Among health care professionals, the targeted audience includes primary care providers, pain specialists, neurologists, oncologists, HIV/AIDS specialists, addictionologists, pediatricians, psychiatrists, and hospice clinicians.

Legal professionals interested in medical ethics and medical defense situations concerning state law or state law in conflict with federal cannabis statues and those interested in legal proceedings underway to force a revision of cannabis as a prohibited medical substance will find this forum essential to their practice.
