Santa Rosa police said three men suspected of robbing a couple of their marijuana at gunpoint Friday were caught a short time later still in their silver Cadillac with pot in the car.

Police said a handgun believed to have been used in the 1:20 p.m. confrontation outside a Santa Rosa Avenue Applebee's restaurant was found dropped on the road a short distance from where the car was stopped.

The alleged victims, a Lake County couple, said they were robbed in the Applebee's parking lot by two men they'd met a few weeks earlier at a Santa Rosa medical marijuana dispensary, police said.

The victims, aged 20 and 18, were near their car when the two men approached. One produced a handgun, then took their marijuana and related paraphernalia, police said. They then fled in a car driven by a third man.

Authorities broadcast a description of the car, and a deputy spotted a Cadillac matching the description southbound on Petaluma Hill Road near Adobe Road in Penngrove, police said.

Those inside also matched the victims' descriptions and several ounces of marijuana were found, as well, police said.

Authorities arrested Larkspur resident Najee Antoine Pierson, 23, and two Novato men, Julian Sean Kreuzer, 20, and Tyler Roger Crane, 21, for suspicion of armed robbery.

They were booked them into the Sonoma County Jail, where Kreuzer remained Saturday on a no bail hold for violation or probation, jail personnel said.

Kreuzer also remained in custody, with bail of $40,000, jail personnel said.

Crane had been released after posting bail early Saturday morning, they said.
