RCMP in North Vancouver, B.C., say a drug suspect is facing charges because he spent too much time growing crops and not enough cultivating friendship.

Mounties say the man's disagreeable demeanour caught the attention of residents in the suburban Vancouver neighbourhood.

An RCMP release says tips from the neighbours led police to stake-out the home, and officers observed the cranky caretaker wasn't living full-time on the property.

A search warrant allowed investigators to enter the house where police say more than 200 marijuana plants were crammed into the bedrooms and bathrooms.

A 47-year-old North Vancouver man is facing criminal charges and Mounties warn he could lose everything, if convicted.

They say the surly suspect could be stripped of his house, several vehicles and his landed immigrant status if a request is made under proceeds of crime legislation.
