Using Co2 in a well ventilated closet?

I have a closet i set my new grow up in. the room itself does not have windows so i usually leave the door to the closet open, with a large box fan blowing into it, to keep the temps down.

Im about to be on my 2nd week of flowering and thus will be adding C02.

will this work with all the circulation or will the fans just blow the CO2 right out and it will be wasted.

also when doing my co2 timer / ppm calculation, should i use the area of just the closet (with the open door) or the entire room.

I was always told to turn fans off when adding Co2 to let it saturate on the plants.

i know im a bit off the subject, but is adding co2 only required during bloom, or does it assist during veg also??
