I've been running the ViparSpectra P4000 in a 4x2 for the past two runs and have had great success. I'm also running two P1500s in a 3x3 tent. The P4000 pulls 408w from the wall and the two P1500's pull a combined total of 292 watts. These lights perform way out of their price range. Other brands of entry level lighting may current get more hype but these are definitely getting some attention.

Top Pic: Briscos Bargain Beans, Big Black Bananas (Black Banana Cookies x Big Bananas) under two p1500s in a 3x3. 2 gallon fabric pots. Three weeks into flower. I initially flowered them in a 2x2 under a single p1500, they quickly outgrew the 2x2. I moved them to a 3x3 and added a second p1500. They love it! They look "unkept" because they were scrogged in the smaller tent.

Middle Pic: Rosetta Stone XX, four weeks into flower. Under P4000 lamp, 400w. 5 gallon air pot. Overfed her last feeding and had some nute burn, flush with sledge hammer and light feeding stopped the issue from progressing. Classic Jack smell but a little bulkier and stickier. Definitely a heavy yielder.

Lower pic:
DTC 99 In 5 gallon airpots. Under p4000 lamp in 4x2. Week four of flower. Defoliation next week to open up the bud sites. Fed her a little heavy as well. Thai Sativa "pungent dank earth smell" with a little licorice and sweet berry smell. I run a total of 3 carbon filters/scrubbers in the room and still smell her when I approach the door!

Mini auto flowers last winter. Mosca Frosted SKywalker and Cheese x Haze. Sticky, stinky and very dense. These were ran under the P4000 from seed to flower.

Hi, Thank you for your support, and congratulations for a good harvest.

Tend to agree with the OP.name me a light you can buy for the same type of money that will give you the same results around the same wattage and made so well.BUT they missed a trick with non removable drivers only issue i have had
I own a XS4000/XS2000/P1000 i would recommend them all at this point and its down to price and build quality. You can get better lights 100% BUT not at this price point.

Rosetta Stone XX under the P4000 ending week 4 of flower. Maxed out my ppm @ 1080 and caused a little nute burn but she doesn't seem to mind it. I run the light at 90% power currently but like to "overdrive" them the last few weeks of flower for extra resin they produce a a defense mechanism.

Close up picture is of the Big Black Bananas under 2x P1500s. I've been adjusting the heights and found with the two lights in a 3x3 16-18" seems to be the ideal height. I've ran an indivial p1500 as low as 14" on a mature plant without any issues.

Brisco's Bargain Beans, Big Black Banana wrapping up in the 3x3 under the two P1500s. I will be chopping one at 60 days and let the other run until it shows some amber. The lights currently sit 16" from the tops but I will be dropping them to 14" for the last week to overdrive these gals a little bit.
Briscos Bargain Beans, Big Black Bananas. Check him out at DC Seed Exchange, you will be amazed by the low cost and quality of his genetics.
