When to change?

I have a 40 inch tall space where i am going to grow white rhino. Can anyone tell me at how tall should i switch to flowering so that the plant doesn't run into the ceiling. Also i was planning on tieing them down a little bit to.

Including the container it would be about 32 inches.

You need to know the amount of room you have between the top of the container and bottom of the light. That is your actual grow space. Take that number and divide by 3 and switch to 12/12 when you reach that number. Example...21" between light and container divided by 3 = 7". So you flip at 7".
