why are they sexing in 16/8?

ive been veggin' in 16/8 and had excellent growth rate with evenly spaced nodes, theyre not staggering yet... now theyre into week 5 and all three strains are sexing.. 1 full blown male and 7 females
2 mothership 3 big bud and 2 widow berries... arent they supposed to fully veg until theyre hours are cut to 12/12?
what's the deal with that? ive been dealing with the same grass all year n not had this happen ... and the ONLY difference is 1 hr of light difference 17/7 is the usual ....

Once the plant is mature it will show sex, no matter what the lighting schedual is at, but it won't flower and bud up untill you change the light schedual.

Usually 4 -6 weeks.

Your plants have "ruteralis" ... where they auto flower no matter the light cycle. I had problems on my last grow with some XXX x Grapefruit. Once they hit a certain height that start to flower. This is often found with "early" strains.

As long as you get the male out of there and kill it before it drops any pollen your other plants should be fine... Goodluck

Use a different strain next time if you want larger plants that will flower when you control them to.
