Sweetsue's First Grow - Stealthy Trio of Autos Under CFLs

I'm gutted for you about your lack of refund! I too used to use CFL's and upgraded to LEDS a while back, I couldn't afford the posh lights so I got a cheap 300w panel (180w actual draw) on a certain auction site, cost me £70 which I think is closeish to a $100, in the space of six months I saved...

Sweetsue's First Grow - Stealthy Trio of Autos Under CFLs

Sorry Sue I must have misunderstood you, I'd thought you were restricted for space like me, they will love 20 gallon containers, my poor darlings only have 2 gallons per pot and as it's not big enough to support them breeding I can't help but feel it's a bit cruel to my worms, they are kinda...

First Time Grow Journal - Advice Welcome!

If you've only just started flowering I'd do a transplant now, although if your plants are quite big I'd get some help if you can, two pairs of hands is always better than one when transplanting a decent sized plant. I know of others who do just put the old pot on a new one but I've never tried...

First Time Grow Journal - Advice Welcome!

Warm whites are better for flowering but it's good to still have some of the cool whites too, when I used CFL's I used 4 warm whites to each cool one. Also worm castings are great to use as a fertiliser, as well as mixing it in to my soil before planting I use it as a top dressing too.

    Skunnymonster's Multi-Strain Perpetual LED Grow

Thanks Skunny, it does help, I did think as the price of a bag is the same as wine making kit I might just make some wine instead but don't have the floor space currently, now I know the bags are crap I'll work towards creating space for the wine, elderflower and fan leaf sounds like a winner to me!

    Skunnymonster's Multi-Strain Perpetual LED Grow

Greetings Dr Skunnymonster, I'm hoping you can give me some info on your c02 bag please, I'd not heard of these till I saw you'd bought one and I'm kinda clueless (some would say that's my natural state......) do you think they are beneficial? And if so I was wondering if you noticed any...

    Beateo's - Soil - Lemon Kush Feminized - 2014 - 1st Attempt

I think your Sleekstack is a girl but would need to see a close up of one of the nodes (the bit where the fan leaf/branches meet the main stem) near the top of the plant to be sure. And I think your wild child is absolutely adorable!

Sweetsue's First Grow - Stealthy Trio of Autos Under CFLs

I have worms in my pots and would suggest you use coco coir as your mulch because this then doubles up as worm bedding and aids the environment for them, I'm not sure I'd recommend deliberately adding worms because you then need to keep them fed and happy as well as your plants but when using...

    Antics Perpetual Learning Experience

re: Antics Perpetual Learning Experience Firstly I'm sorry for your loss, Bonnie looked like a lil sweetie. Secondly the red/purple on stems seems to be normal for some strains under LED rather than a deficiency I think, I'm getting it a lot more with LED than any other light I've used. I...

    Away's First Grow - DIY Closet Grow - TopLED Mars II 80x5 - 2014

When you say 10 weeks do you mean from seed or from flowering? Usually they mean it takes that long to finish from the start flowering, your lady looked very airy, I think she would have fattened up nicely with a few weeks longer. Also seed banks are rarely correct with there timings, there...

    Away's First Grow - DIY Closet Grow - TopLED Mars II 80x5 - 2014

I'm so pleased you finally got there! Your first harvest is always very special, if I may give a word of advice for your next one!? I'd say don't chop so soon, I know how hard it is to resist but had you let her go longer your yield and potency would of been greater. Congratulations on your...
