2 Ed Rosenthal - 1 Topped - Side By Side Grow

Update Time

Hope everyone's had a great start to the week:circle-of-love:
Both the Ed Ros had 1.5ltrs of plain tap water tonight and are budding nicely. The un-topped one is still lagging behind which has really surprised me.
The White Dwarf had her second feed tonight, she had 6ml of medi-one and 1ml of pro-cal in 1ltr of tap water, I also bent her main stem over to even the canopy out, she is certainly growing quick.

Thursday Night Update - with an added bonus

Both the Ed Ros Auto's had a feed tonight, 11.5ml of medi-one, 1.5ml pro-cal, 7.5ml massive and 3.5ml of finisher in 1.5ltrs of plain tap water. The topped one is looking to be about a week in front on growth but the other is catching up quick.
The White Dwarf Auto seems to be the Usain Bolt in the growing world, boy is she fast, she was desperate for a drink tonight, all her leaves were down and she looked sad, she had a litre of plain tap water and is begining to look happy again.

Thanks mate, I thought they would be about ready from what I have read and watched, including your video's which I just love by the way, and I agree with Mr A and many others, boy have you got a set of lungs:rofl:
The outdoor grow has/will turn into a greenhouse grow as sorts, will update on them when everything's ready, the Holland's have stretched a little more than I like but they will be just fine. Thanks for dropping by and for the advice my friend:passitleft:

I did the backbuilding on the Ed Ros Auto's this morning, it felt really strange cutting the tops off them and I was/am nervous about how they respond, am hoping everything will be ok and they will deal with it, I also did a little defol and took a couple of useless lower sites and fan leaves off both.
Thanks to everyone for the advice it is truly appreciated
Enjoy the weekend:circle-of-love:

OMG those buds will get fat if you backbuild now puregreen. You should pick one to backbuild and leave the other.

I hope so Noob, I was going to just backbuild on one but with it being a side by side I want to treat them exactly the same, apart from topping of course so I have done them both.

Understood. It appears as though topping is going to win this one by a long shot. Do you think it can be done with all autos? Or do you think some strains wouldn't produce as well?

Sorry my friend but this is my 1st time topping an auto so I have very limited experience but I don't see why not, as long as its done at the right time (between 3rd & 4th node) and they are looking strong and healthy. I will be doing another side by side after this with the Critical Jack Auto I grew last time, and she was a frosty monster with just some lst'ing, without looking at my 1st journal I can't remember her exact weight but am sure she was 4 to 4.5oz dry so I am keen to see what she yields with topping. If the topped Critical yields more on the next grow then I will top EVERY auto.

I wouldn't top any auto that has dwarf in it's name or either of the parent's. Just saying.

This auto Ultraviolet has White Dwarf x Skunk x Lavender in its lineage and ended up 5 inches tall. Yield was 7 grams I think. I see no way that topping would have helped it at all.

Saturday Night Update

Both the Ed Ros Auto's seem to have responded well to being backbuilt, both had 1.5ltrs of plain tap water and they are smelling sweet and frosting nicely, especially the un-topped one.
The White Dwarf Auto is growing well but I have no idea on yield, I think I will be lucky to get an oz from her (hopefully more) but we will have to see, I am hoping that she will surprise me!!! She was very dry and her leaves are drooping bad (again) so she had a feed of 7.5ml medi-one, 1ml pro-cal and 4ml of massive in 1ltr of plain tap water.

Wow Jim, she was small!!! I will start some more white dwarf auto's (only auto's I got with dwarf in the name) when the Ed's have been chopped and will do another side by side, I was going to grow some more critical jack auto's but this has intrigued me. I would start it sooner but I only have limited space. Will drop by your garden in a bit mate. Thanks again

puregreen, I know it's been said but that White Dwarf.... It's... just... so... abnormal is the only word I can think of to describe it. I can't believe the rapid growth. Whoever you bought that seed from should be paying you for free advertisement. You should have started a journal of it's own for that one awesome plant.

I know noob, I can't believe it myself, I only put her in a small 7ltr pot cos I knew I would have issues with room, next time she will be in a 12 ltr and I have know idea when she will be ready but it won't be too long that's for sure!!!. All my seeds I grow and will be growing have been kindly donated from a seedbank in Holland. They are only a small seller and have limited strains but what they do have seem to be good, I can't say their name as they are not sponsors here, sorry. Will pop over to your yard on my way back from magicjim's.

Origin & Popularity
Are you looking for a quick growing autoflowering plant? White Dwarf AUTO might be the plant that you are looking for! White Dwarf Auto origins from a cross between two powerful Indica varieties and a Ruderalis. White Dwarf Auto is prized for its intense effect in combination with its pleasant and mild smell and taste.
Production
White Dwarf AUTO is one of our many autoflowering plants that are very suitable for the novice grower. Not only does this autoflower plant grow and blossom very quickly, it is also ready for harvesting before you know it. White Dwarf AUTO remains small and powerful and will not get bigger than 60 centimeters. During the flowering periods the buds will become so beautifully white that they seem to glow. I can watch this plant for hours and dream away. Thanks to its low height and rapid flowering time it is a very good plant for the SOG method.
Character & Flavour
White Dwarf AUTO is a which is high in THC. This delivers precisely the powerful effect that you have been looking for; a deep relaxing stone. The taste and smell, however, are surprisingly fresh, light and fruity. This is quite unique for an Indica variety. Moments later, the sweet taste will be followed up by a robust and rich earthy flavor.
