Day 103
Temp: 13-26 degrees
RH: 45-67%

GSC 3&4 are growing up right in front of us!

In an effort to control the humidity and temperature, we have been opening the windows during the day. We are experiencing very warm days and cool nights coming into spring. We are coming in hot into week 7 of flowering and did a strip to encourage bud production up top. Sending good vibes to the plants!

GSC 1&2 are just chillin'! Excited with the long veg period, as they are looking like they will be much bigger than GSC 3&4.

Thanks mate! These have been some fun and vigorous plants to grow! Can't thank @Weed Seeds Express enough for giving me the chance to participate, I think the next few weeks are going to be exciting getting to watch them finish out!
It's our true pleasure @Slammy Pajama! We also look forward to your harvest!

Day 106
Temp: 12-23 degrees
RH: 42-69%

GSC 3&4 are looking B-E-A-UTIFUL!

They turned 7 weeks old today. The light is at 100% intensity now. They were given a good drink yesterday and some good vibes!

GSC 1&2 were given an intense training! They are 2 weeks old today. I gave them a nice top dress of @GeoFlora Nutrients -Bloom, massaged that in with a soaking and top dressed with some Alfalfa mulch.

Day 114
Temp: 14-27 degrees
RH: 42-66%

GSC 3&4 turned 8 weeks old yesterday!

It's been awhile and sacrifices have been made.... We lost one to our habits. The buds are being dehydrated and I will post pics when they are finished tomorrow! One lone survivor remains in this tent. I suspect that this one re-vegged. It's a bit funky! What is going on here?!

GSC 1&2 turned 3 weeks old yesterday since the switch. They look healthy and are very thirsty ladies! Once the remaining GSC gets harvested, I think we want to introduce the second light in the hopes of increasing our yield.

Day 119
Temp: 14-26 degrees
RH: 47-59%

Just livin' in a daze the last week as we sacrificed GSC 3 for the greater good! The consensus is that its a smooth smoke and creeping sleeper fersure!

Maybe that explains why I took a nap yesterday.... that ended up being 14 hours.

In the tent the last remaining GSC 4 is packing it on! The middle cola is thick! She still seems to have awhile to go. I'm not sure if she was confused when we turned up the light intensity to full blast? It was gradually increased or if its just the structure it's taking on. There's some definite stretching and I'm still suspicious that it re-vegged at some point.

GSC 1&2 will be 4 weeks into flower tomorrow! On average they have been getting a good soaking every 3 days. They are very thirsty and bigger than GSC's 3&4. They did get an extra month to veg. Can't wait to see them grow in the next few weeks!

Day 122 (Oct. 2)
Temp: 15-27 degrees
RH: 47-75%

And so came the time to chop GSC#4! She had a little bit of weird growth at the top, almost like a crown of new little shoots! It's not really like anything i've come across before. She also could've gone a bit longer still, but I've been itching to pull her down so we could clean up the tents and consolidate the two down to one!

Definitely some nice thick colas, I'd say the apical one off this plant is the chunkiest I've grown to date! Excited to see what the weights come to once they've dried

We harvested her and washed each cola first in a bucket of water with baking soda/lemon juice, and then two follow-up rinse buckets of plain water. Then they were hung to drip-dry before going on trays into our big food dehydrator with the heat turned off. Should be ready to jar in roughly 2-3 days, depending on the size!

GSC# 1 &2 are looking fantastic and huge. A little bit more spindly than 3 and 4 were, but i mainly attribute that to the late training. At just over 4 weeks since flip, I'm pretty happy with the progress so far! Can't wait to see how they progress!

Day 123
Temp: 21-25 degrees
RH: 51-61%

These two ladies are going fantastically! They've been tied down in a few places to try and even out the canopy to keep the light as equal a distance from the top of the canopy in all places as I can keep it. Still feeling reasonably heavy, so we'll hold off on giving them more water just yet

Harvested buds are still drying up, but starting to look a little more like the end product! Probably will do a tighter trim as well once they've finished drying and are headed to jars for the cure!

Thats excellent! Congrats on the harvests. Just harvest most of my outdoor gsc yesterday finally. Such amazing aromas. That dehydrator has me intrigued. I tried a few pieces in my air fryer at the lowest setting and they came out ok. Still a little wet but after doing more reading I likely lost a good amount of terpenes that way. Lesson learned!

Also, instead of drip drying, I use a salad spinner. Incredible to see how much water comes out after it has finished dripping. Also, talk about speeding things up too!

The dehydrator was an excellent investment! Highly recommend!

In my first ever grow we put them in the refrigerator and those were the best tasting of all! GSC as well. That's when we could practice self control and had more patience.... haha!

The salad spinner that's genius!

It wasn't much, but great quality! Can't wait for my current one's to finish. They are quite a bit bigger.

Day- 126 / Flower Time- 5 weeks
Temp: 16-24 degrees
RH: 45-64%

Just a quick update as we hit week 5 of flower. Everyone was given a soaking yesterday. I checked them today and they were asking for more! Here's after the watering this morning. Looking pretty happy!

Day- 131 / Flower Time- 5 1/2 weeks
Flower Day- 5
Temp: 16-28 degrees
RH: 41-61%

Tragedy has struck! (Well, kind of). We had a timer fail on us, and only just caught it... it appears they're still getting bigger because they have indeed still been vegging! So we got that fixed up, but that has sort of screwed along our expected harvest timeline quite a bit...

Haha these ladies are looking beautiful though!! If they've actually been vegging this whole time, then the next two weeks should be interesting!

Ive also moved both the lights into one tent and dialed them both to ~50-60%, so they should still be getting about 300-350 true watts of light (LED), and I've got plenty of room to increase the intensity once we're past the stretch, if they look like they can handle it!

I did see a few rusty spots starting to pop up, so we'll have to make sure they're getting enough CalMag through flower. Good colour all over these big ladies though!
20211011_075941.jpg

We also decided to take our first real crack at making butter! We had about 130g of dried trim and fan leaves and stuff, so we decarbed it at 105-110c and then low simmered it into 500g of butter for quite a few hours. Im expecting the potency of the trim material that went in to be very low, as it was mostly just the initial trim stuff. But we'll see what its like! Looks a nice green colour, alright! :laughtwo:
