Ace Seeds - Panama

(Sprout 5/6, Topped 5/23, Photo 6/20, Flower 6/26, Harvest 9/4)

Some notes about my experience with Ace Seed's Panama.

I'm smoking it now, and it's quite nice, but let's start from seed, and work forward in time.

My singular Panama was germinated in a paper towel, and then grown out in soil. She was unremarkable in the first few days, but after two weeks, she picked up some speed and a nice shine. She did not require much care/nute at all in Veg. She seemed to be a bit N sensitive in Veg, as you can see by the pic below. The pic below was at just under 6 weeks Veg, and was the day before the flip at 18" with ~12 tops. Her pot was 3gal, with high porosity, and she yielded about 170 grams, with a 10 week flower.

After the flip, she really exploded. She had great vigor in Veg, but in transition she really showed her strength. She went a bit more than 200% in a manageable stretch, to 43'' or so. Other than the topping and some gentle arrangement, I let her do her thing. With my nutrients, I had to be somewhat careful about feeding her, but she took high levels of nutes, and didn't really complain much. I let her go 10 weeks, and she finished with 10% or better amber. She yielded very well for this type of plant, and her buds are just amazing. They may not look like it in the photos, but they are dense and have good weight to them. They are also beautiful to behold in person.

Grow impressions.

There is a lot of power and elegance in this genetic. The power you can see evidenced by the plants explosive growth, and structure. She is elegant in her manner of bud building. She will produce many sites at a rush, then takes her time filling them out. There is also something very special, that I cannot express, about this girl Growers that connect with their plants in a spiritual way, will likely fall in love with this girl - for a time.

Smoke Impressions.

Her aromas throughout the growth period are dominated first by skunk (Veg) and then by lemon (Flower). After cure, the finished product has an extremely pungent fresh lemon citrus front note, with a pine and earth background. The stucture of her buds is superb. It's easy to pull them apart to reveal densly packed calyx clusters, that are completely covered with resin. It's a very pleasant aroma when you handle them. Your fingers will know that you are handling some kickass herbs, as they will stick to whatever you touch afterwards.

At ignition, the lemon front note, all but disappears. It becomes this smooth chocolate, sweet earth taste, with some vanilla and spice - almost no lemon. It's a very full and round smoke, with depth to the flavor, but there's no hint of harshness.

When you take your first hit, the effect starts immediately. You can feel the fist wave, bleed the tension out of the corners of your eyes, and then it builds and moves toward the top and front of your head. After this effect settles, you will find that you are energized, focused, attentive, and yet mellow and relaxed. If you hit again, you will add euphoria to, and intensify these effects. This is the perfect plane of highness for me with this strain. Upping the dosage further is possible but the further you go, the more functionality you lose. If one goes too far, the clear headed and mellow high, will be replaced by an almost impossible-to-resist urge to sleep. I do recommend overindulging. This is a great feature of this strain. You can take 1-2 hits in the daytime and not get foggy or tired. At night, you can finish a bowl or two with your spouse, and enjoy a night that you may, or may not, even remember. In short, it's a highly functional and pleasant high - Perfect for daytime. It's also a powerful hammer to the cranium if you want to exist in a state of wonder and drool. She's tasty, productive, potent, versatile and unique. Oh, I forgot to add -The effect lasts about 2-3 hrs. Great fun to grow her too. Peace and love. :peace::Namaste:

Bringing back this bad boy! Thank you for an epic review--I'm f***ing sold.

We have been growing lots of the ace strains in the high brix circle. Panama was fantastic but I like the zamaldelica even better. Between us we have also grown Zamal X hash, Tikal, golden tiger, bubba kush X hash, and the purple haze with really good results. There were some others but these seem to be the favorites so far. I currently have a six month vegged Tikal in a scrog and am getting ready to flip a Kali China and a golden tiger. Misleading titled link is the top one in my sig if anyone wants to check them out.

Great job on these, pics look fantastic:thumb:

They are some nice plants. I have big respect for the breeders. I had a little claw on mine, but Justa's looked just great. Like most sativas, they are N sensitive in Veg and early flower, but might like some after the stretch. For those that feed :)

Great to see you around Canna. I love Thai, but I fear growing the pures, would become an obsession, so I'm waiting until I can build a proper room, with cameras and all the gear. It may be a couple of years, but it will be something to look forward to. I do have my eye on some crosses though. Lemon to me - means happy weeds. Peace brother.

hi care. thanks for the reply. I only germed one of the five fem seeds of this full moon. she looks like there is some indica in her, as her leaves, well, are not long and pointy. but, they claim that this tastes all like thai. so, i did not want to try a pure one, either. lol. they look horrid! lol. im happy to have my jack herer, type b back. i have one fem each, of blackjack, and papaya, in cups. and, any day now, i must sex my three chrystals, and two mystery seeds. my blackberry have not arrived yet. i did take cuttings, of the full moon. just in case its killer. darn sativa, will probably send me into afib. lol.

Yeah, a hybrid can be so nice, and a better grow time too. ;) I love some papaya smelling plants, and Jack. I couldn't find out what chrystal wanted, and gave up trying to get her to come out right, as I didn't care much for the smoke. Mighta been me, but it was meh. Full moon sounds delicious and manageable, thank for the heads up, first I've heard of her. :high-five:

From the Seedsman site: "...Using an IBL F4 Panama Green and infusing pollen from an early flowering IBL F4 Neville's Haze, Ace Seeds specialists have created a very potent, almost psychedelic sativa with no characteristics from the early indica influence added to the Haze..."

hey circuit. thanks for this---really good info to know...
