AKGrowBig here! I am so stoked rite now and I'll tell you why. I got home from work today and my Awsome wife had cleaned our girls up a bit. After not seeing them for 3 weeks I am super excited. which leads me to being up at 2:05am my time starting my Journal.

First off I'd like to thank all the 420 members that continue to read and share the info in this site. I would not have even known how to get this grow where it is withought this site.

now! With that being said, let's get to business!

Rules of the Forum: just be respectful to one another! other than that Just try to stay some what on toppic!! feel free to ask about anything you don't see or want to know about. I'll try and get to all of it.

I am incredibly tired so I'll be posting the spacifics tomorrow some time. so sub up! and let's get this ball rolling!

here is a sneek peek into what is in store!

Ok so here some of the spacifics, I am going to do things a little diferant and I'm not going to post 1 big post of everything that has lead to where I am now. I'm going to split it up to some key points through the grow. this way one can respond and ask questions to any one of the posts. I will be posting when I can through the day so bare with me we will get there!

notice level of ultra violet? is this the same as others DE bulbs? I did the conversion to 240v as well. and they are in a vented hood if you want the brands of fans and other things I did not mention let me know. trying to keep it short!

I did not follow the schedual to a T. we have been using it as a guideline tho. we have been just letting the plants tell us what and when they want it!

I've been spacific on the Mills brand and also the Solis-tech brand because I believe the company's are alike in the way that there is really not much info about them. that goes the same for DE bulbs in general as well. I am in no way in bed with either of these company's and just want to bring to the table more info about them. the same info I was looking for when on the market for lights and nutriants. and I'll give you my honest opinion about them!

after getting the equipment I wanted to start with! it was time to design the RDWC system I had I minde.

here is basically what I had in minde. we started out with a drip line but removed it because it did not work too well.

after building the system we decided it was time to start the germination process. we had 5 seeds of wonder woman. and crystal from Nirvana. all went into water. for 24 hours on 10/13/15. after they all popped and there was signs of life and there was a tap root presant. they went into the rockwool starter cubes root down and got put into the incubator!

once in the system these seedling soon shot up like the pictures above. they weren't drinking much and still very new. but within a 2 week time span these girls got heavely trimmed. some may say too much? here are some shots that my wife and I took over there heavely trimmed time period. their trims consisted of pulling all fan leafs that were not new growth. this happened 3 diferant times with also FIM at the main top to slower vertical growth. also had some supercropping and low stress bending dayly.

the last picture in the last post I did was 2 weeks ago and things have changed drasticly for these girls. they have received another trim of fan leafs. they got the MH DE bulbs switched for their HPS Brother and I must say as of so far..these bulb and ballast combos from solis-tech have me sold I just flipped them last night and they are responding already it is crazy!

only the first day under the flip to 12 / 12 and the switch to DE HPS and we have pistols! 8 for 8 are defanetly female. they were feminised seeds from nervana. sout out to them 10 for 10 germination rate and 8 for 8 on the female side. I must say what beautifull ladys they are!

ok here is the photo of the pistols already. that's just after 1 day of pre flower flower!

that brings us to presant time. feel free to ask me to elaborate on any of my posts or anything I've done that I have not covered. if you would like me to do more of an overview of the equipment I'm using let me know that as well.

I'll be posting often with updates. I hope you all like what you see. I would not have got this far if it wasn't for you :420:

Thanks Arteekay! I really appreciate the kind words! Have you ever heard of pistols showing after just 1 day of 12 / 12? I wonder if this is because of how long they have been growing in veg for. I think it was 88 days exactly from seed to 12 / 12. I don't think many people go this long but it's almost like the girls were saying thank you for it? I don't know.... just what I was thinking!

itoday's topic supercroping!

today is the day that we decided we may Net these girls up. instead of this I decided I was just going to supercrop instead. I decided to do this A) because I didn't want to buy a net and B) why not try to add more bud sites and keep them shorter. here are some shots of Miss. crystal. as I gently put my hands on here and start supercropping her.

supercropping is simple. just gently pinch the branches at the height you wish your canipy to be. be carefull here to only use the flesh of your fingers here. no nails. the idea is to fracture the internal stem here. you will know if you have done this when you hear a pop and or crunch feeling and noise. after this you can gently sway her back and forth and lay her down horizontal! you want an even canipy here!

notice how much lower she is now next to he cousin miss Wonder! I will supercrop miss Wonder and add some pics after!

another note for larger stems . you can use a paper town and wrap it arround the stem. use a set of plyers gently to crush the inside stem and lay them over as normal .
