Is it Air Cooled? Yes

Temperature of Room/Cabinet? 70-75

PH of Medium or Reservoir? NA

Any Pests? Gnats. Going spray it today.

How Often are you Watering? When soil is no longer wet on the surface or container is lighter than it should be.

Type and Strength of Fertilizers used? 1/4 strength FFBB so far


I haven't been successful with soil grow yet. I hardly have problems running a hydro Waterfarm. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here so here is my cry for help lol. It's only been a couple of days since this happened and I'm not sure how to cure it. After reading over this part of the forum, I'm guessing it's a deficiency of some sort. Being a lowryder, there are no real guidelines for a feeding schedule that I have found, and I have only offered the FFBB after the spots appeared. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Looks like magnesium def. What kind of water are you using? pH? TDS?

RO. Not sure what the ph is anymore, just know it was perfect when running my hydro plants.

If using R/O water with soil you have to supplement with Cal/Mag. MJ uses a lot of Mag.

Oh and for hydro your pH has to be lower. For soil, 6.5 is perfect.

Thanks for the info. Just went to the store and got some Botanicare cal/mag. Should I offer that now, or should I wait a few days being that I just fed it with some FFBB the other day?

I would foliar feed it (weak solution) and just include it in every watering from now on.

Get a fert that does it all in veg for soil and then use only that nute. Your problem looks like mag def.

Oh and remember in soil you don't overdue the nutes. and must let plants dry out.

Thanks man. I just used FFBB so far and that fixed the issue, but I picked up some Soil FFGB for the next round. All I had was the hydro version and there are variances between the two.

i beleive i have a mag deficiency as well, i got epson salt, will that help assuming my ph is 6.5? if so, shoould i water with it and foliar feed it? and how much epson salt when foliar feeding in lets say a standard spray bottle? Sorry for all the questions
