CFL for flowering?

If I have enough CFL lighting, can I use them for flowering? If so..How many and how much wattage total should I use? I plan on growing 4 plants in an approx. 3-4 sq. ft. area...I cannot afford HID's!!! LOL

For CFL, you should get the 2.7K color range. Wattage, im not to sure, but check out this guide, should answer many questions about wattage and lumens and what not, hope it helps yah!!

Yes the 2700k CFL are good for bloom
I would suggest going to a Habitat resale store and buying a bathroom vanity light , use some Y splitters and make a fixture.

my local hardware store carries 300watt CFL bulbs and only use 65w. they are bulbs not tubes though. you probably want tubes more, like 4-6ft T5 bulbs. i use them myself but only for veg.

this is my veg setup... i use 3 diff colored bulbs but use more blue spectrum than anything else...
