Sometimes being a police officer in B.C. must be a little bit like living in a Cheech and Chong movie.

A pair of West Vancouver officers were dispatched to a Horseshoe Bay ferry lineup on Thursday night after reports of a possible impaired driver.

"During the course of the investigation and subsequent arrest, police discovered what appeared to be a functioning marijuana grow-op in the rear of the Toyota RAV 4," Sgt. Paul Skelton said in a news release. "West Vancouver police seized approximately 140 marijuana plants that were in various stages of growth."

A 35-year-old Sunshine Coast man was arrested and is now facing drug charges.
