Current thinking on Parabolic reflector: vertical or horizontal bulb ?

I'm running a 600w MH/HPS in a typical wing type reflector. Two plants in a 3.5' x 4.5' x 8' high space.

Turning the plants isn't that big a deal but I was hoping for more even light spread with a 42" parabolic reflector.

Thoughts on vertical vs horizontal positioning of the bulb ?

Vertical has been proven to be better with a Parabolic Reflector in particular if you search a little.

I've used a Parabolic hood for many years and very pleased with vertical bulb position.

I have tried both positions over the decades may I add.

I used a parabolic reflector with a vertical socket with a adapter to run a 315cmh in a 42" parabolic vertically over a single large scrog plant, amazing results. I know that most cmh are meant to be ran vertical, hps/mh usually tend to be ran horizontal. I think for light spread and efficacy vertical is superior in parabolic.
