At first the leaves looked like they were sweating. Then, I transplanted it and it started to slowly die.

"Sweat" on the leaves is normal. That is just condensation, particularly around the cooler areas between leaves, & "morning dew." However, a late/rough transplant is a HUGE shock to the system; like getting punched in the gut & taking a baseball bat to both legs. A plant could recover, but most of the time they won't make it from that kind of trauma, especially autos. Hope she comes back. Even if not, you've gained the knowledge & experience to better hone your skills for next time. Best of luck!
