DIY x6 CFL reflector

okay i'm low on budget and i want to make a small cabint for 1-3 plants
i got 4 45w CFL warm white and 2 55w CFL cool white and a frame to fit the lights i have a matirial to put above it for reflecting the lights but i was wondering if for 1-3 plants thoes 6 lamps will be enouth ?

hey mate that sould be fine, im using only 2 23watt daylights, and there loving it. im planning to get atleast 6 more.

but yes it sould be fine but you might wanna get more as you go.

i just finished to built this thing this morning when i was high from last night
freaking 290w setup in a frame!, i'll upload some pictures soon so its perfect for grow and bloom x4 2700k and 2x 6500k
and it didnt cost me alot to make so i'm happy with it !

the good thing about CFL's is you can keep them super close to the plant without burning them. It makes for an easier grow

true, but it seems to me warm white CFL do tend to heat more then cool white bulbs and i think its unsafe to get them less then 5cm from the plant becuz it can make it burn but surely not like MH or HPS !

I'm currently using 14 26W CFL's and 4 40W CFL and 2 68W CFL's In my hood design. It only cost about $50 in parts for the Light Hood, and I slowly accumulated my CFL's over a month as I had time and money to do so. CFL's cost @ $75 total. My space is a bit larger than yours though 2X4X6 and doing a DWC bubbler.

CFL's are great! save on heat and you can use them in SMALL spaces effectively!
