Finally, A Second Grow Journal!

Can't wait for her to finish drying out this pot, antsy to try the RO CalMag water and get her fixed up

Regret topping so soon, but giving the second node a shot at catching the first. Also starting on the 3rd nodes on each of the mainlined branches

Twisty
IMG_20191129_010911.jpg

Quick note, humidity has been pretty high, 50-75% and temps pretty low 60.5-70.5°f how badly will this slow growth with the girls being mostly sativa ?

I don't know, but I'm finding out. The temperatures in my tents dropped to 10°C/50°F last night. Power went out.

I have small ceramic heaters in my tents.

A power failure is no real worry. My generator will power everything except the stove and dryer. We have an induction hot plate for cooking when this happens. Coffee is essential in the morning, so that was the first thing powered up.

Probably why I've been grumpy since my move, can't find the coffee pot
How do you keep the tent from getting too hot, a timer for the heater?

Heater comes in on Tuesday, feel like the RC didn't handle the cold nearly as well as the DK.

Humidity goes crazy during lights out! Definitely need the heater asap

DK is 28 days old and ready to be topped, will topping delay it showing sex? Still don't know if it's a male or female
IMG_20191201_115718.jpg

Overall, all 3 are much healthier with emphasis on the DK doing pretty damn good.
She will get her first watering since the transplant 10 days ago, RO and CalMag only
IMG_20191201_115951.jpg

Seems the other two finally recovered from being shocked by something, decent growth last 2 days. Twisty finally has regular leaves coming in
IMG_20191201_115738.jpg

RC 1 will be ready for the next step in the mainline tutorial soon.
There is some damage on one of the smaller center leaves though, possible nute damage?

DK was topped
IMG_20191202_011349.jpg

I stripped the first node off and I noticed one of the 2nd nodes lower branches was much larger than the opposite side. LST started on this one
IMG_20191202_011928.jpg

Trimmed off the large 7 fingered fan leaves, cut at 45° and lightly scratched stem and coated with rooting hormone

If the DK doesn't show sex soon I might flower the clone of it makes it to see what I'm working with

Going through some pictures and I noticed something!
The cup on the right is the DK1 clone. This is an old picture. if you zoom in and compare the center of that to the new picture below it looks like it has a growth and has rooted!
IMG_20191125_005705.jpg

Center growth, or am I mistaken?
IMG_20191202_120846.jpg

if that is New growth she is severely overwatered and I will be going a few days before watering her, humidity dome also coming off

These two growth tips are fighting for dominance, they do not like to be tamed

Got temps up to ~80 for a while to help warm the roots and hopefully finally dry out the pots. 12 days since they were watered and the RC seem like they'll go another week at least

Removed the lower growth on the node right after this photo, didn't notice it before
IMG_20191203_004929.jpg

How many weeks of veg does it take to show preflowers? Would hate to waste my time on the DK

New DK growth looks good, still some tip drip on the older leaves. Here's a close-up of the havoc from the previous deficiency. I watered 1 liter of CalMag water @1ml/L 6.2ph with some recharge in it. I'll give her a go on MC on the next watering in a few days, she's drinking much more quickly than the other girls
IMG_20191204_000956.jpg

Going to have to look up what the purpling stems can indicate, always forget stuff like that
IMG_20191204_001008.jpg

RC1 doing well, gave both RC a very light watering to wet the top soil, same CalMag batch as DK
Restraints adjusted as the lower node is going crazy!
IMG_20191204_001328.jpg

Quad shape forming nicely! Might top the new mains one more time

Do you water until you get 10% - 20% run off every time?
Are your pots raised above the run off?
Haven't watered to runoff yet as 2 of them are still waiting for the pots to dry from the transplant but they sit in drip trays that I wipe out and the one that has the main issues was completely dry this morning and I watered about 1liter of MegaCrop at 2g a gallon, not enough for a 3 gallon pot but I had a little run off off the bottom, maybe 3-5%

Once you get past the seedling stage, coco needs to be watered until you get run off every time. At this stage of growth, I'd be watering twice per day. You also should be able to go to 4gm/gal Mega Crop. I'd do this over a period of 3-4 days.

Got it, I am in a soil though that has a bit of its own nutes in it. Do I follow that same principal?
