Germinating seeds

So I’ve been germinating seeds for a couple weeks and they haven’t sprouted or cracked open yet. But they are starting to get like flakey on the shells and splinter almost. Is that a bad sign? Or is it the start of sprouting? I water them once a day.

Welcome to 420, sounds like they're dead. Here's a link to help get you started. If you can start a journal and post pics of what you're doing then we can help get you started out right.

You have to keep them moist, warm and in the dark. I wet the paper towel place my seeds in the towel then slide in a sandwich baggie. Place on a cable box or someplace warm.

Personally these are my first seeds ever, I did 14 hrs in spring water, then 48 hrs in paper towels in the dark on a plate in warm room, germinated 9 this way all look the same. I may be lucky, but I’ve also spent weeks on here reading the faq’s and threads, before signing up last week...
hope yours turn around for you mate.

Yea I’ve been reading and researching and I think my seeds are just too old. I’ve had them for 3-4 years

Never to old. I sprouted a seed that was 25 years old.
It's all in how they are kept for long time storage.
I'm sure they will sprout. Keep your paper towel wet. Do not let it dry out.
