Help! Abnormal sugar leaves on Northern lights auto

I just noticed a lot of my sugar leaves are starting to look abnormal, with brown spots. This plant has done great so far. It’s an 420 northern lights auto in coco/perlite using advanced nutrients pH perfect sensi coco nutes, cal mag, and terpinator. Used voodoo juice and big bud the first two weeks of flower. It only has a week or two to go. I’m fertigating to runoff once a day. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Ultra!

That’s one heck of a nice plant you’ve got there. I’m thinking it’s light burn on the sugar leaves on some of tallest colas but I can’t be sure - you have eyes on the plant. Could be rust, could be sign of deficiency and yep she’s got a little tip burn - thats to be expected, but other than that I’d say you are in great shape. Obviously keep check as you cruise on thru to a stellar harvest!

Thanks for the reply guys. You know, the only thing I’ve changed was adding my two extra LEDs hanging vertically on the sides of the plant, after harvesting two others, so it probably is some light burn. But man did the colas bulk up after adding them. I’ll try turn them down a bit. Thanks again!! Cheers

No that's not light burn, light burn will bleach the leaves :reading420magazine: it's rust...but nice looking NL auto...I got my NL auto from @Herbies Seeds :thumb:

Sulfur is indicated as a preventative for rust and mites but most advise not to use in late flower, it’s thought to impart bad taste in buds, like wearing plaids and polka dots together, but honestly I think it’s the THC or lack thereof that causes that - not the sulfur! Once a plant gets to 5 nodes I begin light sulfur dust at weekly intervals

What is rust? What causes it? :bong::nomo:
What is rust? It is those small brown/orange colored spots on the leaves in the 3rd photo in the first msg. There is one leaf with 3 spots.

Rust on a plant will be causes by one or more of the many different strains of fungus.

Do a basic google search using:
rust on plants
for a lot more info.

Most likely the best way to control it is to prevent it. Meaning that the grower should start a spray or prevenative program before they see the problem.
