I am new to growing. I have 2 auto plants on day 36 that have some yellowing on leaves and yellow tips and some leaves have curled up sides of the leaves. What do you think this looks like? Deficiency or more nutrients than is needed for it?

The details for it
  • The plants are northern cheese haze autos by mephisto on day 36 in 3 gallon fabric pots of coco coir with perlite
  • 32x32 tent with 240w kingbrite led quantum board on like 85% power at like 23" on 24/0
  • Temperature around 77-81f and RH around 50%
  • The 2 plants have Dr. Earth Organic Tomato Vegetable 4-6-3 and Dr. Earth Bud & Bloom Flower Girl 3-9-4 that I mixed in with the coco on there.
    • The left plant had 1/4 cup total of 75% 4-6-3 with 25% 3-9-4 then on day 30 I top dressed 1/8 cup total of 50% 4-6-3 with 50% 3-9-4.
    • The right plant had 1/8 cup total of 75% 4-6-3 with 25% 3-9-4 with 2 jobes 4-4-4 fertilizer spikes in it then on day 30 I put 1 jobes 4-4-4 with 1 jobes 2-7-4 fertilizer spikes in it.
  • I hand water daily with around 1/4 gallon of tap water to each plant with around 3 ml/gallon of calmag with around 1.5 ml/gallon of silicon that I ph to around 5.8 - 6.2. I do not water to runoff on there.
I had some problems early on that I think were calmag issues from not using ph water with calmag for the first few times I watered the plants then started using ph tested water by week 2. What do you think? Tips or recommendations? What would you do for it on there?

Thanks. The dry fertilizer was mixed with the coco on there. The left plant looks a lot better to me than the right plant does on there. I use canna coco that is pre washed and buffered. I use the apera ph20. I ph the water every day when I water and I keep it 5.8 - 6.2. You think it is more nutrient than it needs? Not a deficiency? The 2 plants have different fertilizer. Does the left 1 look like it has a deficiency? The right plant has more yellow leaves and the folded in leaves and it is the 1 that has the fertilizer spikes in it. I did the top dress and added new spikes a few days ago but the leaves looked similar to this before the top dress was then done to it on there.

Thanks. You think that the left 1 has more nutrient than it needs? The plants are in 3 gallon pots. How much water would you flush through each of the plants? What would happen if I do nothing but keep giving the plant water every day on there. Would it eventually run through the nutrients? I would still get bud though not as much? How much lower of a yield do you think the plants would have if I do nothing but keep giving it water every day on there?

Thanks. The plants only have like 5 - 6 weeks left before time to harvest the plants on there. What would happen if I do not feed them any more and only water the plants from now until then? I am not going to replace the medium with only a few weeks left. I would still get bud though not nearly as much is that right? How much less yield do you think I would get if I do the water only and no more added nutrients to it on there?

Only problem is the slow release nutes you top dressed with and those spikes. Your plants would normally feed on that for a month or two. If your soil is to hot than there isnt really any option but to get them in different Coco.

Thanks. The left plant only had the dry amendments. The right plant had only 2 spikes broken in 3 pieces each and put in the coco around the plant. This was at 30 days almost a week ago. The left plant looks a lot better and the leaves are not bending in at the sides like the right plant is. If you zoom in on the left plant it does not look that bad does it? What does too many nutrients do? Would I still get bud though not as much? The plants likely only have like 5-6 weeks left. I am not going to replace the coco. If I get even like only 1 oz from the 2 of these plants I would be happy enough with that for it on there.

So, I'd calibrate my pen for piece of mind and try a couple of plan waterings raising your ph to 6.5-6.7. you're flowering, so the raise in ph will help with potassium and phosphorus uptake which the plants use more of in flower. Check new growth for improvement.
