Give it about a week or two and you'll be able to tell, male plants grow these things that look like a bunch of small green balls that conjoin and become a cluster of balls that will eventually open up to look like flowers with miniature bananas that drop pollen. Females just grow 2 long white hairs in each upper armpit of the plant where the leaf stem is.
As an aside the plant lookes overwatered and/or too much N. Notice the way the leaves are curled. I keep doing this to my plants so I am all too familiar. Feel free to check it out in my journal if you like. GL buddy. Did you cut the flower looking things open to see?
