First of all, thank you @Mars Hydro for allowing me to participate in this contest. Here is my entry, my first LED grow from start to finish.

Grow Environment:
Indoor Mars Hydro 39x39x70 tent
Mars Hydro TS1000
Custom mix organic soil in 7G hard pots
Lights on temps @ ~70-75F, lights off @ 69-72F
RH varies from 28% at lights off and 50% lights on

Brief synopsis of the plants:
GDP (Canuk Seeds) on the left:
Germinated October 10

Punch Pie (Bagseed):
Germinated October 31

They are in ProMix Veg/Herb amended with the usual amendments local to me. They are watered with tap water @ 8.2PH and 190+ PPMs (and occasional molasses). Flipped on Dec. 27. Pistils started showing a couple of days ago and are steadily increasing. My strategy for the LST was to have the higher colas on the fringes of the light which I am hoping will give even coverage of the canopy.

I am aware that the lights are inadequate. Just waiting on more funds as well as debating on a higher powered unit or just multiples of what I have. Anyway, this should be fun.

Cheers.

Update:

Temps have been consistent all week, lights-on hovers between 72-77 with RH @ ~50%. Lights-off gives me temps down to ~68 while RH decreases to 28%, slowly rising as it nears lights-on. I didn't know that it can sense that.

Seems like the PP has outgrown the GDP and looks lanky. I don't think it is all due to the light though as I have grown it before under a 600W HID with identical results. The seed did come from a stressed plant so that could be a reason.

Anyway, just getting them ready for selective pollination with some Afghani. Hopefully that works out. First time for everything I guess and what better way than to just dive in.

Cheers.

Yes I hope so. I had to raise the GDP higher to even out the canopy. Hopefully I am nearing the end of stretch as the light is at its highest it can go and the canopy is at 43cm.

I've also had to place them on a diagonal to give more breathing room. Temps and RH have been steady although that could change with the cold we are expecting.

That wonky leaf in the foreground is from resting on the tent sides. Plants are looking healthy.

Cheers.

It's been 4 days since I tried pollinating a couple of branches and this is what I have got so far:

Pistils are only now starting to curl in. Last time it only took 24 hours so I don't know how viable my pollen is. Time will tell.

Temps have been steady at 68-75 during lights-on with RH @ ~50%. Lights-off temps go down as low as 65 and RH down to ~29%. I hope that does not affect things that badly.

Other than that, it's steady as she grows!

Just noticed this morning, main GDP cola's leaf tips turning purple. Hoping this is normal for the strain and timeline:

Pistils starting to turn and curl as well. It's funny the bud size and trich content are pretty even between the main's bud vs a bud at far reach of light.

Tops are 15" from lights in the center of tent with those on the reaches at ~19". Temps have been steady throughout while RH hovers at ~50% dropping down to ~28%.

Last watering was with tea of hi-P bat guano, alfalfa meal (very sparingly), vermi-compost and molasses. I think it will be only water from here.

Pollinated buds are coming along. Should be a couple of interesting crosses. I've read of others that have done the GDPxAfgani cross.

It's a sad day. The Punch Pie had hermied on me, which really doesn't surprise me as the seed came from a stressed plant (over-mature I believe). I chopped her and now have to be vigilant on th GDP for any like tendencies.

I guess that does it for this grow. Still, I am happy with what I have accomplished with a small light and can now plan better with the knowledge I gained. Cup half full, I guess.

Cheers.
