I'm glad I could help, and I do recommend MMS, but the other company you mentioned is also probably legit. With the new laws Marijuana friendly Doctors are cashing in, and these types of companies are popping up all over.

That is true lol I did contact them and asked if I could check out their clinic before booking an appointment since they are so close to me but its looking good so far! :)

This is very cool - Kind of like a medical rec here - 350 WHEW - do you have to update every year? Here in California we pay 50-100 dollars for new pt and 30-50 for renewal which we must do every year. Just curious

Hi Robert. ;)

Yeah, the prescription only lasts 1 yr and must be renewed. The laws were recently changed, and are so new that no one has had to renew yet. Not sure what the renewal fee will be but hopefully much less than the $350 is cost to get the prescription.

No updates yet. My regular doctor refered me to a medical cannabis clinic in a city close to me but if they dont contact me by next week to book an appointment I will be continuing with the site I contacted a few weeks ago

Hi steathgrow, I was reading about your post about the mms website you made. I've been going through the paper work to send to them and I had a question for you.

For the supplier there's a form called the medical form, which has info about the amount ect and a doctor has to fill it out. Did MMS fill this out for you or did you have to find a local doctor to fill it out for you before you sent the package in? I can't find a local doctor willing to sign for my prescription so I was hoping the website you used would work for me, but if i need to get a local doctor to fill out the medical document anyways it'll be an issue.

They just said I would need a letter from my regular doctor stating my condition if I couldnt get any doctors to sign.

Things are great! My regular doctor referred me to a medical marijuana specialist doctor, meet with him about 2 weeks ago (was approved, yay lol) Got in contact with the suppliers (which the doctor picked out, not me lol) ordered the medical cannabis online and revived it a few days after I ordered it :)

that's awesome.

i'm going to be sending in the paper work for mms that steath posted and ill see how that goes. ill post an update later.

Did that place really work for you?

There's a few errors in the website that makes me concerned about it being legit, also the fact that its only a few month old and only has a 12month domain.

Could be wrong, just little things that make me worried online.

Funny you mention that. I had actually asked them when I was first doing my research and one of the girls just explained that they are a medical clinic and had just put up an inexpensive website as a way of reaching people. They didn't realize that there are non-legit operations going on and everyone would be doing back ground checks, lol.
When I was doing my own research I found out that some of these services are not even run by the doctors but charge money to just refer you to a doctor. This place is run by the doctor.
I did my appointment using Skype but they actually have a location (that they encouraged me to visit) it wasn't practical for me where I live, but it made me feel better knowing that they weren't just some online system that could disappear at any time.
Like I said, my wife and I got our forms filled out no problem. Another friend just sent in his paperwork to them, I'll let you know if he has any problems.

Ok, my friend sent in his paperwork last Tuesday and had his appointment on Friday with the doctor. He said they submitted his forms online (they didn't have that when I went) and he had an email from the producer that same day. He said he already ordered his stuff and they told him he would get it by tuesday.
3 for 3 so I'm sure these guys are legit.

I went through MMS and didn't need to provide any info from any other Doctors. I have Insomnia which I treated with over the counter stuff, and pain in my feet from Orthotics. The Doctor didn't ask for ANY medical history info at all. As for the amount prescribed in the paperwork, I put down what I smoke, 2-3 grams a day. When I met the Doctor over Skype, we discussed the amount required and he finalized the paperwork. He had no issue giving up to 3 grams a day for my prescription. The max amount you can have in a 1 month period is 150 grams, and I was under that amount, so no problems.

I have to say as far as my prescription everything is great, I'm legal, but the provider Mettrum that I chose is failing in my opinion.
Mettrum seems to have a really hard time keeping stock. They only have 2 strains available right now. One strain 17% THC (which is irradiated, and tastes like crap) and the other is only 7.9% THC, I'm not even gonna bother with that one. They also are selling their "trim" now for an outrageous price. (6.60$ to 8.60$ a gram, + 14% Tax for SHAKE!!!!)

Mettrum came out with 2 new strains in the first week of Aug. and both were sold out in 1 day. They came out with 2 more new strains the second week in Aug. and again both strains were sold out the same day they were released, even with a 30 gram limit they placed on orders. I think these companies were way to greedy, and took to many patients and now can't supply them.
And unfortunately I can't order from any of the other providers, because under the new rules your only allowed to be registered with 1 provider. What horse sh*t!!!

I called them and i wanted to use mettrum, but they told me i cant, as they are not taking any more customers until the fall. Sorry to hear you're running into issues with them. Im going to try with Tilray and see how they are.

On a happier note, The BC supreme court ruled in favor of extracts!!! Yahoo!!
Under the new MMAR rules, only dried Cannabis can be provided, and consumed for medical purposes. No extracts, no oils, no edibles, no nothing except for smoking flowers, even for young children.(Ridiculous!!!)
The BC Supreme Court ruled last week that those rules are unconstitutional and need to be revised. Another win for Cannabis!!!
