Wow. I'm sorry to hear about your illness. In that case, why not
Get some led lights to add into the mix. Will probably double yield . You could easily quadruple the amount of light you are giving.

There are 8 bulbs together here in two 4 way splitters. On the left side led light is shining.

At closest my CFL is about 2.5 inches, furthest 5 inches,

I don't advise on those big 125w CFL - eventually I mounted it sideways - but wow the heat from these things!!!

Much better to go your method with smaller bulbs spread ou

Well that's a little more than I want to spend. But if I'm still around for awhile my next grow I will have 2 - 600w LEDs

35$ a lamp at lowes and 2 fold up tables to get them close to the lamp. Keep it simple

Changed most bulbs to 27k only 3 35k's and plants seem to love that light.

Added some more lights & 4 more splitters. So on 2-5bulb lamps I have 20 23watt eq to 100watts = 460 watts @ 2700K.
Boy did the temp go up by 10deg. So I going to add a bigger fan
