Old leaf any good?

Hi guys,

I've inherited about 450g of leaf. I don't know how old it is, but it's very dry and some bits gone a bit brown, but mostly looks ok. Got a bit of an odd smell, but not sure if that's just due to where it was kept.

I was thinking of making some cannabutter with it, but would like to know if it's worth it.

Any suggestions or tips?

as long as the "odd smell" isnt a smell that would taste bad i think you are fine...also make sure there is no mold. the worst that can happen is a weak buzz...

if the smell is funky i would make bubble hash or hash oil to reduce the amount of leaf matter that makes it into the final product. good luck

The longer plant material sits (improperly stored) the more THC degradation progresses. Heat, light, and friction are said to be main contributing factors. Its hard to say not knowing what this bundle has been thru and 4 how long. If I smell something funny I tend not to eat.

STick some in a coffee grinder and powder it and make a batch of browines and see how it does. I use about 8 grams of shake in my brownies.
