Omega Garden's Volksgarden Rotary Garden

Thanks WheeloFortune and Maximus, I did print out the instructions and i watched the video. On both it shows the 2 hoses but i still cannot figure out what the second one is for.

Hey WheeloFortune and Maximis, I don't think i am asking right or clear enough so my husband is going to ask. Here he is:

I understand that one of the hose valves goes on the intake from the pump to the water table. But where does the other valve go? Is it just a spare? It just doestn't make sense to put it on the outflow hose.

The second one is to set the level of the water in the tray, as the center one pumps but the second one is higher, and you set the level of the water in the tray by how much higher the second hose protrudes through the surface of the tray.

Cheers,
Maxx

I'm talking about the hose valves, not the hoses. The kit and even the instructions come with two hose valves. One goes to the pump...input hose...which must regulate the amount of water from the resevoir into the table. Where does the second valve go?

valves or hoses? you need two hoses, but only the pump side should have a regulator valve. the ball valve is so you can slow down the flow rate from the pump so it doesn't overflow.

Valves....I understand the hoses and why there is a valve to regulate the intake flow from the pump................WHERE DOES THE SECOND VALVE GO FOR?

Put the T inline over the pump with one hose going up to the watering tray, and the other one is to agitate the res. You need to adjust the valves so that you have the right amount of flow in both directions. The pump needs to be on a timer so that it shuts off after all of the plants have been watered.

Cheers,
Maxx

Thank You Maximus and Wheelofortune for all your help. I think i got you two mixed up as i understood it as hoses and not the other things he was talking about. My husband went to bed as he has patients tomorrow to see, but i will let him know when he gets home.

I have a question about the volks. The description says it can do 80 plants. I was thinking on the lines of 40 10to14 day clones straight to flower. Since you guys own it and some has gotten to play with it for a while now, what would be a realistic max number of clones? 2 grand for a machine is pretty pricy so I am curious at how much this machine could actually produce in a 2 month time frame. Im thinking half to 5/8th of a pnd dry weight.

If you read back through this thread you will see that I pulled .5 lb first time round, then 1 lb, then 1.5, and now I am waiting to see dried weight on the latest which should blow past 2 lbs.

id say smith the way you grow in your aro 96 grow.. pack 80 clones in there the way you do it now 4 to 6 days veg max and you will be a happy man..stay away from there idea of auto seeds...clones are the way to go in any rotational grow....80 clones or 320 clones.. max numbers, max yield any less and your just wasting your time...

you should be about to turn 12 to 16 gram donkeys dicks...soo that's 2 to 2.5 lb a harvest...

imo "max numbers, max yield any less and your just wasting your time... " this is not usually the case. In the Omega Garden the max number of plants that could be in the system was 312, but that really was the number of rockwool cubes that the system could hold, and if you ran that many plants in the system you ran a very good chance of the plants overgrowing the system do to the elbow-room competition created by the crowding. In nature the loser of this competition does not survive, so it is a very strong drive, and very old.

If max numbers = max yields then 100 plants per square foot would produce more then 1 plant per square foot, but that is not likely, though it will produce more fiber, mmmmmmmmm fiberlishious.

Maxx

Dawg gone it. I read the wrong one again. I first read wheelo's and keeping tabs. Now I just went through CanbisMxmus's journal. He has so much stuff going on its hard to follow. I thought I was reading this one and was scratching my head thinking where are the harvest. Its confusing havin another member with a simular name also with a volks.

thats what we are hoping 4 the volksgarden bail out for people who lost there jobs for some reason or another

Maxximus, I'm on the edge of my seat here, how about an update and some new pics? It's been over 2 weeks since you last posted pics from the end of week 7, I'm assuming you cut the ladies down and they're curing now, right? What did they look like before cutting them down? What do those nugs look like now? I need some cannaporn!

this is going on my own experiences and of a ffreind that has run up to 12 roto grows in a a warehouse in callie ..he told me he had tried half numbers,,, 3/4 numbers and full 340 numbers and by far he said the more he put in the higher the endind yeild he got.. ad as to max number= max yield theres a guy on this forum thats doing 16 plants per foot in coke bottles and hes getting 16 to 21 grams a plant.. with cfls..so yes max number max yeild...a 600 diggie dimmible in a volks garden with 80 plants could do wonders.. and not your auto seed stuff .. cus thats unpredictable and not guaranteed i may just have to buy one ot prove it...stay tuned.. how knows... i have ten gs im ramping up my next operation 2 grand for a volks isnt that bad... i just may
