Reading trichomes question

Lots of info and different mindsets on reading trichomes and looking at pistols for harvest time. Here is the question. I've got 4 plants, 6 weeks into bloom. Two are alcapulco gold, one Maui, one red dragon. Seems early, but I'm seeing lots of amber on the first and second sets of sugar leaves. One alcapulco has almost all cloudy with Amber, yet the pistols are still mainly white on top, but orange traveling down. This sorta conflicts with most info, Amber says harvest, yet pistols say wait.

Look on the flowers, not the leaves.

Already been mentioned, but to elaborate a little... sugar leaves are kind of a leading indicator. They will change colour first, and the buds will follow later. I found it helpful to look at both leaves and buds. When the leaves were almost all amber, the buds were just starting to change to a few ambers here and there. At least, that is what I saw on my first (and only) harvest to date. Good luck with it!
