Just keep an eye out on those trichs (like you are), I was under prepared on my first grow when my Larry's finished early...didn't give me enough time to flush and the quality of smoke suffered because of it.

Day 79 - Flowering Day 32

Boy it looks so nice Behind the Green Door! I rubbed up against one of the girls today and she has this sweet, grape smell to her...maybe not grape but fruity smell...so sweet!!

I checked for pm pretty thoroughly and there is none to be seen. Good thing too as my humidity is a little high. If all goes as I think it will, I'll be getting the dehumidifier tomorrow.

I checked trichomes too and they are clear. The bud sites, while pretty, aren't completely filled in yet. The only amber is the pistils.

I'm getting close to the window though. Some, very few, of the trich's were a little cloudy. I'm going for 50% amber, 50% cloudy. The trich's are also VERY dense. Tons of them...so pretty!

The kicker is when I open the box...eeeeessshhhh there is a strong odor going on in there. Closed? I smell nutting, I see nutting!!! Awesome!!

I checked Jess too....she will be meeting an early demise on Day 42 and then it's the push for the roses with the other two girls. I want them comfortable for the final ride to the home stretch.

I know I've said this before but now it's crunch time....and her buds look SO tasty!! It will be an energetic head high but that's cool. I like that. I won't be losing too much...nice dry and a cure..it will be fine. BROWNIES!!

Need to change the ona bucket and also put some stuff over the intake for light control...

They're looking awesome for 4 and 1/2 weeks. You have a few more weeks to go and they will just be putting on more and more weight. Just be patient my friend.

That is a great point McCrackin, and an important one to think about.
GFan, I believe that the former Sheriff in your county is on record as saying "MJ is illegal, all Prop 215 does is provide a defence"
That means they are happy to arrest you and make your life hell for as long as they can, even though they know the end result will probably net zero.

Have you considered how and where you will trim and dry those buds?

Ona is a good backup for Grandma and the friends, but you can bet that the other guys know exactly what the smell means.
On the other hand, in most parts of N. Cal a skunk smell is just that, a skunk and probably more common that the smell of fresh laundry :rofl:

I'm actually not in Sacramento County...and I checked with our town police department and they are very cool surprisingly. I didn't tell them I was growing. They don't investigate grows at all as far as I know as long as you're not an idiot about it or selling it to kids.

They have an ordinance that you can no longer grow outside but that indoor grows are fine as long as they are in keeping the 215.

There are a lot of skunks out here.

The smell is very isolated to the garage and the fans can't be heard outside at all. It's not stealth inside the garage but outside the garage, you'd never know.

Trimming, drying and curing will all be done inside the box with exception to Jessica, my hempy bucket experiment. There won't be much product from her, less than an ounce and although I know it'll smell a little, it should be an issue. (I hope!)

7 days drying and then into mason jars for 2 weeks to 30 days then vacuum sealed and frozen (maybe).

Thanks for the heads up. I'm into week six here next week and that's trichome watching season. I might try to pick up a usb microscope to share the trichome pics...wouldn't that rock?

They have the sweetest smell I've ever smelled from meds before..crazy. This could well be the best I've ever had after a proper cure.

Hey GF24, Just a few more weeks before harvest, good job. I will be harvesting 1/2 of my ladies next thursday. All cloudy trichs, but I am up against a vacation. My daughter has a new trim machine that we will be using.

Day 80 - Flowering Day 33

Well, this is just a quick update..watered with just ph'd water only. I'm flushing Jessica, she gets axed on Tuesday.

I decided not to wait on her any longer..it won't be the best bud but it was a great experiment, very, very easy to grow hempy..

It's not my strain though. I think I'll be sticking to the Indicas for sure. I love the squat bushy plants they produce..

I think I'll be going erkle next grow or something similar..I'm a clone guy as I grow just a few plants.

I really respect you guys/gals who start from seed...geez..I can't imagine that with my current setup..

Just a few pics today. It's my b-day and the wife and son snuck out and I had to be quick about watering today.

Do I really need to worry about flushing a hempy bucket? I think, if I remember correctly that DocBud said you don't but I can't remember. Anyway, I'm flushing Jessica in prep for harvesting her, early yes I know, on Monday or Tuesday.

Brownies!!! I ate a half a dose of brownies last night and got slayed..I was sitting on the couch watching something and realized I was SO high..LOL I love edibles.. :)
