Tall spindly seedlings

The last few times I have tried to start plants they shoot up and then fall over in a matter of a week or two. What gives? Bad seeds? When should the fan be started? Must it be ocsilating?

im a newbie, just started my first grow. i started my fan as soon as they popped out of the soil, not oscilating but its a small tent and the air moves pretty well all around and all the stems seem pretty sturdy

It happens to me....the light needs to be closer....with mine, they shoot up real quick, I miss them, I gotta keep a check on them

I put the fan on as soon as they are in the dirt. I put plastic bags over the pots until I see something poking out, then remove the plastic. I'm not the most experienced but I have started about 18 seeds and they all have grown up and healthy through veg.

They are up and stout. When do I plant them and do I keep them at there same place coming out of the peat pot when I transplant?

try lowering the lites to about 12" - 18" above pants, it helps to prevent stretching during the seedling stage
