Way too tall?

Ok, first-timer here. - sort of..nearly a virgin, if you will...
My plants have grown so freakin' tall, it's scary. So far, they're over 9' tall. They are;
Tangerine Dream
70/30 indica/sativa
Package says they should be 100-120 cm tall (4' tall)
Started from feminized seeds
Started in peet pots
Transplanted the peet pots at 10" tall directly into current medium
Grown in soil - pro-mix only, no additives
Outdoors, in 5 gal. black plastic pots, buried to about 1" out of the ground
In Canada, zone 7ish (southern Ontario)
3 plants gown side-by-side, about 2' between each
Full sun, western exposure
Watered daily
Fert weekly
Started flowering about a week ago

Also growing 2 Red Dragon, same grow info., same problem. Grew them last year, no problem.

Trying to figure out why they've gotten so tall? Have they gone hermaphrodite on me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can only hope that it's good luck...and its a little comforting that others are seeing the same thing...I wonder if it's the global warming causing an increase in the sun's intensity that is having an effect...I'll update this thread in a couple of weeks to report on bud growth...but in the mean time, I welcome all suggestions and ideas...I was reading up on training them to grow vertically...but I think that's it's too late now...

Well, here I am a couple of weeks later. Bud growth is good. The 2 Red Dragons will come down this weekend with beautiful colas. The 3 Tangerine Dream are now over 11' tall. Buds are growing nice, but only the top third of the plant. The bottom two thirds are kind of bare, with small "popcorn" buds. Could be a banner year...now, if only I had 12' high ceilings from which to hang them from...
